KSHB reports the group passed its first goal and raised the target to be safe. Signatures must come from Olathe attendance area residents. A state review would be advisory only, so the district could ignore it.
- Next week: district community meetings on new boundary options
- District's criteria: enrollment, building conditions, future maintenance costs
- Board's stated reasons: declining birth rates, rising housing costs
The petition has two deadlines in the next week

- Nov. 13Deadline to submit the petition to the Kansas State Board of Education.
