Bringing back the joy of the KCCO candlelight concert of brilliant Baroque holiday music featuring Handel's "Music from the Royal Fireworks,"

Join the KCCO for a "Brilliant" Holiday Music Celebration by Candlelight! Return to the Baroque era for a magical holiday performance, featuring beloved music from the era by Bach, Handel, and Corelli.

Corelli’s “Christmas” Concerto" is a classic and is so named because the final movement is a beautiful pastoral, a traditional depiction of the manger scene from the Biblical story. The orchestral suites by J.S. Bach are among his classic works for small orchestra but not as frequently performed as his famous Brandenburg Concertos. Equally delightful, the Suite No. 4 in D Major opens with a sprightly overture and spins out with a series of Baroque dances that are perfect for the holiday season. Opening the concert is Bach’s sublime Concerto for Oboe d’Amore, a slightly lower and richer cousin of the oboe.

Concluding the concert is Handel’s “Fireworks” Music", one of the jolliest and most celebratory works from the whole Baroque era – featuring trumpets, oboes, horns, timpani, strings, and harpsichord. Come celebrate the holidays along with the KCCO!
